Enjoy a glimpse of Royal life and State occasions at Buckingham Palace, which has served as the official London residence of Britain’s sovereigns since 1837 and today is the administrative headquarters of the monarch.

The Royal household is lavishly furnished with exquisite treasures, and a tour of the State Rooms is sure to be the highlight of your visit. In addition, a special exhibition is taking place in 2013 to mark the 60th anniversary of The Queen’s Coronation. At the heart of the displays will be Her Majesty’s spectacular Coronation Dress, designed by Norman Hartnell, and the Coronation Robe, richly embroidered by the Royal School of Needlework. Also on display will be an unprecedented selection of dress and uniforms worn by other members of the Royal Family and the maids of honour, and works of art connected with the Coronation. In addition, you have the opportunity to extend your time at the Palace with a tour of the gardens.

Day 1 - Following a morning departure to London from your chosen rail station, your time is your own for the rest of the day. Perhaps you may wish to enjoy a spot of retail therapy or visit some of London’s many sights and attractions. Make your own way to your chosen hotel for check in and your first night’s stay.

Day 2 - After a delicious breakfast, make your way to Buckingham Palace for the highlight of your break; your morning visit to the State Rooms. Those clients who have opted to continue with the garden tour will do so, then the rest of the day is at leisure for shopping or sightseeing. Return to your hotel for your second night’s stay.

Day 3 - The day is at leisure to explore more of London’s magnificent attractions before making your own way to the station for your train home at the time indicated on your rail ticket.
