Enjoy a glimpse of Royal life and State occasions at Buckingham Palace, which has served as the official London residence of Britain’s sovereigns since 1837 and today is the administrative headquarters of the monarch.
The Royal household is lavishly furnished with exquisite treasures, and a tour of the State Rooms is sure to be the highlight of your visit. In addition, a special exhibition is taking place in 2013 to mark the 60th anniversary of
The Queen’s Coronation. At the heart of the displays will be Her Majesty’s spectacular Coronation Dress, designed by Norman Hartnell, and the Coronation Robe, richly embroidered by the Royal School of Needlework. Also on display will be an unprecedented selection of dress and uniforms worn by other members of the Royal Family and the maids of honour, and works of art connected with the Coronation. In addition, you have the opportunity to extend your time at the Palace with a tour of the gardens.
Add to this plenty of free time in London for shopping or sightseeing, and you are sure to be delighted by this 3 day break to England’s cosmopolitan capital city.
